Carey was founded in 1921 by J. Paul Carey with a simple but powerful idea: to redefine personal transportation with elegance, discretion, and reliability. What began as a small Cadillac renting company in New York quickly grew into a pioneer of chauffeured services, trusted by travelers, businesses, and world figures for over a century.
Through the decades, Carey became part of history. In 1962, Marilyn Monroe relied on Carey in Los Angeles, trusting our chauffeurs for their care and discretion. At the 1964 New York World’s Fair, Carey guided millions of visitors through the city with both ground transportation and collectible map booklets, showcasing our premium limousine services. By our 50th anniversary in 1971, the phrase “Your Carey Cadillac, Sir.” had become synonymous with white-glove service for New York’s most discerning travelers.
As we grew, so did our reach. Carey transformed from a local icon into a global leader, scaling our operations to 1,000 cities across 55 countries. Today, our fleet spans luxury sedans, SUVs, electric vehicles, minibuses, and full-size coaches, all united by a commitment to comfort, trust, and timeless service.
